On 13th May 2026, the Daughters of Our Lady of Fatima, family members, friends, and faithful gathered in thanksgiving to celebrate a remarkable milestone in the lives of two devoted religious sisters: Sr. Buradina, who celebrated her Golden Jubilee (50 years) of religious profession, and Sr. Annamary, who celebrated her Silver Jubilee (25 years) of faithful service to God and His people at Rushoroza, Kabale Diocese.
The thanksgiving celebration was a profound witness to God’s enduring faithfulness and the sisters’ unwavering commitment to the religious life. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Msgr. Sunday Vianney, the Vicar General of Kabale Diocese, who represented Rt. Rev. Cllist Rubaramira, Bishop of Kabale Diosece. In his inspiring homily, he praised the jubilarians for their steadfast dedication, sacrificial love, and joyful witness to the Gospel. He encouraged them to continue allowing Christ to be the source of their strength as they faithfully serve the Church and society.
Sr. Buradina, from Nyakibale, Rukungiri District, was honored for fifty years of generous service marked by humility, prayer, compassion, and dedication. Throughout her religious journey, she has touched countless lives through her ministry, inspiring many with her example of faith and perseverance.
Sr. Annamary, from Rwanyena, Kabale District, celebrated twenty-five years of religious profession with hearts full of gratitude and joy. Her Silver Jubilee reflected a quarter-century of loving service, commitment to God’s mission, and faithful response to His call. Through her ministry, she has shared Christ’s love with many, bringing hope, encouragement, and healing wherever she has served.
The celebration was enriched by joyful hymns, prayers of thanksgiving, cultural presentations, and heartfelt tributes from fellow sisters, clergy, relatives, and friends. Many expressed deep appreciation for the remarkable contributions of the jubilarians to the Church and the communities they have faithfully served.
The occasion reminded everyone present that religious vocation is a precious gift and a lifelong response to God’s invitation to love and serve. It also inspired young people to listen attentively to God’s call and to respond generously, trusting in His providence.
