A Call to Complete the Sisters’ Convent at Rushoroza Mother House

The Daughters of Our Lady of Fatima humbly appeal to all people of faith and goodwill to support the completion of a vital project at the heart of the congregation, the Convent for the Sisters at Rushoroza Mother House.

The convent, which will serve as a permanent residence for the Sisters, has reached an important milestone. The structure is fully roofed, but it still requires finishing works, installation of windows and doors, and interior completion before it can become a safe, dignified, and functional home for community life, prayer, and formation.

This convent is more than a building. It is a place where Sisters will gather in prayer, renew their commitment to God, discern their mission, and draw strength for their apostolic work in education, healthcare, pastoral service, and outreach to the most vulnerable.

Why This Convent Matters

For decades, the Daughters of Our Lady of Fatima have faithfully served the Church and society through schools, health facilities, and community initiatives. As the congregation grows and continues to care for its members, including elderly Sisters, there is an urgent need for adequate and suitable accommodation at the Mother House.

Completing this convent will:

  • Provide a safe and dignified home for the Sisters

  • Support spiritual life, prayer, and community living

  • Enhance formation and pastoral effectiveness

  • Ensure sustainability and care for present and future members

A Special Moment of Thanksgiving and Fundraising

In a spirit of gratitude and celebration, the congregation will hold a Thanksgiving Mass and Jubilee Celebration for Sr. Mary Mukanyangezi on 7th February 2026 at the Rushoroza Mother House.

This joyful occasion will also serve as a fundraising opportunity to support the completion of the convent. We warmly invite all faithful, friends, benefactors, and partners to join us in prayer and solidarity on this special day.

As we give thanks to God for the gift of religious life and faithful service, we also come together to build a future that supports those who have given their lives entirely to God and His people.

How You Can Help

You can support this noble cause in several ways:

  • By making a financial contribution toward finishing works

  • By supporting the purchase of windows, doors, and building materials

  • By attending and supporting the Thanksgiving and Jubilee Celebration

  • By sharing this appeal with others who may wish to help

Every contribution, regardless of size, is a blessing and a powerful act of solidarity.
