The Superior General and the Council of the Daughters of Our Lady of Fatima, together with the family of the Late Budigiri Damascene of Kagitumba, Rwanda, joyfully announce the Golden Jubilee and Thanksgiving Celebration honoring Sr. Mary Mukanyangezi – Commissioner, on the occasion of her remarkable 50 years of Consecrated Religious Life in the Institute of the Daughters of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus (Banyaterereza), Fort Portal Diocese.
This milestone event is scheduled for 7th February 2026 at the Rushoroza Mother House.
The celebration is a moment of deep gratitude to God for His goodness, love, and faithfulness throughout Sr. Mary’s dedicated service in religious life. Over the past five decades, she has served with devotion and humility, embodying the charism of the Institute and touching countless lives through service, leadership, and spiritual witness.
Thanksgiving Mass
The Thanksgiving Mass will be presided over by Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira, Bishop of Kabale Diocese, beginning at 10:30 AM at Rushoroza Mother House.
Special Dedication
This year’s Golden Jubilee celebration is uniquely dedicated to the completion of the Sisters’ House at Rushoroza Mother House, an important milestone in strengthening the mission and welfare of the Institute.
